My journey

After answering endless questions about a painting of my grandmother as a beautiful young woman, jumping a handsome grey horse, for my fifth birthday, she took me to the local stables and got me signed up for riding lessons.  She wanted to be sure that I got to have first hand experiences with horses just as she had.   

 I quickly became obsessed with horses and after that,  spent every possible moment at the barn, mostly being a pest to anyone who would give me the time of day and were willing to teach me who I will never get to meet in "person".

I attended  a riding college where I competed  in intercollegiate horse shows and had the luxury of learning as much as I could about horses. 

 After graduation, I went on to work as a groom and a rider. I was lucky enough to work internationally in those positions. I also worked as an equine massage therapist for 25 years. The horses continued to teach me and keep me very humble. 

My dear friend and mentor, Mary Long, encouraged me to study animal communication with the help of her amazing mare named Fleur.  I have always been grateful for their encouragement and guidance. 

Although horses have always been my hearts calling, I don't think the world would be right without the dogs, cats, cows, donkeys and  the many other animals that I have had the privilege to know and of course, those who choose to connect to teach me.

I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you and your animal friends and helping you to connect even more closely with them.
